Eulogy

Don’t bother

With six feet

Just keep digging

Until you see my smiling teeth

At hell’s gate

We both will stand

No escape

I’ll hold your hand

When I asked you to please bury me

I meant body, not memory

you chose a shovel, glove, and knife

I guess our love was the killing kind

Moonlight in your eyes

A lover’s game not recognized

Will haunt you and sacrifice

Too much you say, would be unwise

So hear me now

Turn you inside out

Suddenly

A final eulogy

I’ll change the

color of

the sunset

To prove my love

Before it disappears

Just to see a fractured smile

Growing through your tears

To make it worth your while

When I asked you to please bury me

I meant body, not memory

you chose a shovel, glove, and knife

I guess our love was the killing kind

Moonlight in your eyes

A lover’s game not recognized

Will haunt you and sacrifice

Too much you say, would be unwise

So hear me now

Turn you inside out

Suddenly

A final eulogy
